Here are some steps to help you achieve perfect cake pops every time.
- Do not overfill. I can't emphasize this enough. You don't even really want to come all the way up to the rim of the divot when spooning in the batter. If you overfill, you'll end up with edges around the pops that make it look like a satellite, which could be a cute cake pop idea but not what you after.
2. Make sure that your cooked cake pops have cooled completely before you start to decorate
them.
3. Chilling your cake pops before icing with melted chocolate will also help the chocolate icing to
set quicker.
4. To achieve a smooth finish when
coating in chocolate or glace icing, dip
the entire
cake pop into the icing then slowly
rotate the cake pop. The excess icing will fallfrom the cake pop leaving you with an even coating.
